My name is Luis, I'm the son of Adela and Jose Luis. I was born in Veracruz, Mexico.

Vagamundo is a word my mother used to describe a dream she had... it means world wanderer... This she wanted to be... as a kid I would listen to her fantasies and dreams... by the time I was 12, I knew I would travel and do just that.

With a strength and passion she is only capable of, one day she said to me... if she would have been a man, she would have seen the world. No longer just a dream for her, it became a challenge for me… and with that kind of encouragement and support, I had little choice.

With a backpack full of both her dreams and mine, I left when I turned 18.

Los Angeles was my first stop; here I encountered a very different world....so foreign and intimidating from mine, yet amazing and mesmerizing. My journey had begun.....years later I would experience more intense feelings and sensations; New Delhi is not for the faint of Heart.

Today, I'm glad she has such a passion for life and such little patience for time... 18 might be too young to push someone into the world...but the world seemed to big to be ignored and in the end we all choose our paths; time I believe can not be put on hold. Life is to be Lived and not to see pass by.

My personal experience had given me an appreciation for life and culture... the appreciation for fashion and design comes by the way of New York, here I lived for a couple of years. The introduction to the fashion world comes by the way of H&M, Where I was given the opportunity to be part of their team. This helped me understand that style is personal.

I thank you for your time and invite you to share your views with me, Sincerely
Vagamundo

Asheville Mural Project Event

On June 19th, come and join us at 19 Carolina Lane art gallery in downtown Asheville for a night of vision and talent.  Let us share  the experience  while beautifying our city.
Ian Wilkinson working on mural

Come meet artist Ian Wilkinson, art director of the Asheville Mural Project. We believe that murals enhance the quality of life and create an artful metropolitan experience through the transformation of conventional architecture.

Our murals are both the testimony and celebration of a lively local arts culture in Asheville.
We are proud supporters of The Asheville Mural Project

Now we invite you!  Come and help us make downtown the place we want it to be…all funds collected at the event will go directly to the completion of the mural on the 240 overpass.  (The Lexington Avenue side is already finished and the Merrimon Avenue side will be started soon).

The Asheville Mural Project has completed several murals in town over the past few years, including the Street Science Mural in West Asheville, the Unity Mural at the Asheville Middle School, and several collaborative murals at the Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival. Our current, and most ambitious mural, is the Lexington Gateway Mural in downtown Asheville, on the support piers of the Interstate 240 Bridge over Broadway Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

A Global approach on Fashion, Art and Lifestyle

In Asheville people like to play, and the undeniable need of expression is taken to the individual form. As a result, we have places like Lexington Ave as our runway.

With a very distinctive fashion culture in the community, we at Terra Nostra Decor decided to offer something new: A clothing line that could reflect the metaphoric spirit of Asheville, both urban and cosmopolitan, but with no attachment to one place. Global, adventurous, warm and sexy, simple and comfortable.
